In this role, you will perform various actuarial analytics functions supporting commercial, Medicare and Medicaid actuarial practices, including focused push around Medicaid, MACRA, next generation underwriting, predictive analytics, and risk adjustment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Interpret and analyze risk adjustment data and recommend best approaches

Provide thought leadership and direction around risk adjustment data validation (RADV) services

Interpret the key drivers of health care trends for our internal and external clients

Perform pricing methodologies and assumptions

Develop new rates, prepare cost estimates and conduct and evaluate studies on pricing, utilization and health care costs for our broad range of clients

Determine the impact on premiums as well as various health product proposals

Perform mathematical analyses and Actuarial modeling that provides management with statistical findings and conclusions

Manage projects for internal and external clients

Design and run complex data programs

Perform quantitative analysis of Actuarial, financial, utilization and costs data

Calculate reserves

Analyze forecasts and trends

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Near ASA

5 years of Actuarial experience

3 years of Actuarial experience working in Healthcare

3 years of internal and / or external Client facing project management experience including managing multiple projects / priorities simultaneously

2 years interpreting and analyzing risk adjustment data

Interest in and demonstrated capability to successfully lead projects and Client engagements effectively

Experience mentoring and guiding the analytical work of junior staff against project timelines

Advanced proficiency working with MS Excel including experience building and refining models in Excel

Preferred Experience:

Prior consulting experience

ASA or FSA credential

At least a basic level of proficiency with SAS and / or SQL
