Aon Is Looking For a Health and Benefits Actuarial Technician As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Data & Analytics. Actuarial Technicians at Aon work with large, mid-sized and small clients on a variety of projects related to effectively managing risk, retirement, health and talent. This Actuarial Technician role will be focused within the health space and can be located in our East Region. Your Impact As A Health & Benefits Actuarial Technician Health and Benefits Consulting Employer-sponsored health and welfare benefit programs form the foundation of the U.S. health care system. These programs have evolved over time as employers have attempted to manage the changing needs of employees, rising program costs, and the impact of new legislation while supporting their human resource and business strategies. Job Responsibilities: Health and Benefits actuaries support consultants and work directly with our clients to develop short and longer-term health and welfare benefit strategies. This process involves strategic assessments of the health care market and key trends and the identification of new and innovative solutions to employer problems. The technical and analytical skills health & benefits actuaries bring to this process are critical to our health & benefits consulting. In addition to the strategy-setting process, you will likely be involved with the following projects which support our clients' annual and ongoing health management needs: Evaluate plan design and costs relative to various measures and benchmarks with reporting to clientsIdentify new and innovative solutions to employer problemsHealth care budget rate-setting for self-insured plans including the analysis of medical and prescription drug network changesEmployee contribution rate development and scenario analysisAnalyze insured plan renewals for appropriateness and carrier bid financial evaluationsIdentify savings opportunities and financial modeling associated with plan design and provider network changesCalculate actuarial reserves You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Suggested Experience: Outstanding quantitative and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsEnjoy working on complex, mathematically-oriented projects Like working in a team environment Education: Bachelor’s DegreeHave passed at least one actuarial exam We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
