Risk Management (Finance/Product) Job Description Summary
Leads and manages business analyses and modeling projects and programs within Risk and ALM areas. Will support strategy and assumption testing. Job Description
Provides analytical support to Management. Requires decision-making on development, presentation and interpretation of various ALM reports.
Prepare weekly, Monthly and Quarterly updates to ALM leadership and Asset portfolio manager on cash position and liquidity strain capacity.
Understand and evaluate liquidity risk associate with different types of asset and insurance products.
Models and quantifies risks including: equity and interest rate sensitivities, cash flow variability, credit, alternative investment, liquidity or operational risks.
Gathers and analyzes market data, calculates portfolio statistics, and develops/uses models to simulate financial reporting processes.
Perform complex ad-hoc analyses for senior management, as required.
Leads development and implementation of small projects such as system enhancement and process automation.
May lead a staff of Risk and actuarial professionals.
Requires a graduate degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, business, or related field with 3 years experience.
Should have an excellent understanding of investment and insurance products.
Knowledge of ALM, Fixed Income Products, Derivatives
Must possess excellent understanding of investment and finance concepts, and be able to creatively apply them in solving analytical problems in the business setting.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
