The Role
The Sr. Program Manager, Actuarial Development is responsible for ensuring that Lincoln’s Actuarial Development Program (ADP) is a key pipeline for future leadership positions, and a critical source of intellectual talent in achieving Lincoln’s strategic objectives. This position will be responsible for leading all aspects of the program in close partnership with the ADP Site Leader Committee (SLC), including acquisition, development, and retention of entry level through FSA actuarial talent.
Responsibilities
Program Management
Broadens awareness of the Actuarial Development Program (ADP) throughout Lincoln with all levels of management, marketing the Program as a key talent pipeline for key professional and leadership positions within the company.
Networks both internally and externally to ensure that the Program's benefits are industry-leading.
Partners with the ADP Senior Leadership Committee (SLC) to ensure that the Program's structure effectively develops key actuarial leadership skills.
Works closely with the ADP SLC to administer the Program fairly and consistently across multiple sites and business units.
Maintains strong relationships with members of the company's actuarial community, including members of the ADP steering committees, SLC, Participant Leader Committee (PLC) and other actuarial leadership, to gain a current well informed actuarial perspective
Provides direction and coordination of ADP rotation program.
Reviews and evaluates current processes and develops program road-map to ensure effective and efficient management of key objectives
Leads semi-annual ADP performance calibration and coordinates ADP annual talent review.
Monitors the effectiveness of talent development programs/initiatives (e.g. return-on-investment, employee engagement, etc.).
Develops and implements mentoring program.
Manages, monitors, and ensures performance to budget.
Conducts annual compensation analysis – in partnership with Compensation team members.
Leads development of SLC and Executive Steering Committee (ESC) meetings/agendas.
Manages, coaches and develops the ADP Program Coordinator, who will provide administrative and general business support Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Execution

Provides leadership in conjunction with ADP SLC to maximize the value of the development opportunities (including the annual ADP development session) for both ADP participants and business lines.
Coordinates the execution of the annual ADP development session.
Leads the development of mission-critical and non-traditional ADP rotations.
Relationships
Networks both internally and externally to ensure that the Program's benefits are industry-leading.
Maintains strong relationships with members of the company's actuarial community, including members of the ADP steering committees, SLC, Participant Leader Committee (PLC) and other actuarial leadership, to gain a current well informed actuarial perspective
Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with members of the company’s Human Resources community to gain a current, well-informed perspective on HR strategic objectives, programs, practices and policies that may impact the ADP
Builds relationships with universities and D&I groups to broaden and/or deepen recruiting reach
Client Management
Partners with the ADP Senior Leadership Committee (SLC) to ensure that the Program's structure effectively develops key actuarial leadership skills.
Works closely with the ADP SLC to administer the Program fairly and consistently across multiple sites and business units.
Recruiting
Coordinates the development of recruiting solutions and/or strategies and the candidate evaluation process in close partnership with ADP SLC and Recruiting.
Requirements
Education
4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
Experience
5 Years Creating talent acquisition and development solutions including 3 years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.
Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior/executive management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)#LI-CG1
