The major job responsibility is working on special projects to remediate various risks. Develops analytical methods and models that assess the market, underwriting and operational risk of new and existing life insurance products. Review and develop assumptions to reflect the accurate mortality, policy behavior, and anti-selection risks. Work with capital management, asset liability management, administrative management and other departments to create financial solutions and reduce risks. Participates in research, design and implementation of new financial products to stay abreast of latest industry and regulatory developments. Responsible for developing various analytical models including annual sensitivity analysis, cash flow testing, and scenario testing. Provides reports and analyses to management on sales, persistency and mortality experience, reserve adequacy, risk management information, or various other similar items. May support creation of systems specifications, contracts, commission structures, and other actuarial aspects of product development. Monitors and analyzes developments in actuarial techniques, laws and regulations. Promulgates environment of continuous improvement and heightened efficiencies with maximum accuracy. May develop, maintain and document computer-based programs, and highly involved in model validation to remove modeling risks. Follows Change Management procedures; risk committee preparation and presentations. This position may lead/mentor risk analysts and actuarial professionals. Minimum Requirements:Employer will accept a Bacheloris degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, business, or related field with 8 years of relevant progressive post-baccalaureate work experience; or employer will also accept a Masteris degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, business, or related field with 4 years of relevant work experience. Required work experience must include: 2 years of experience in U.S. statutory and IFRS valuation (including FAS97, FAS115, and statutory reserving); 1 year of experience in asset modeling (including yield vectors, asset portfolio and reinvestment); and experience with risk controls (including Change Management process, Model Validation, Key Control 0 review and Model Remediation). Must also have: working knowledge of IFRS 17, PBR and universal life products (including secondary guarantees and policy-holder underpinnings); demonstrable record of process improvement; and strong skills in MS Excel, VBA, and MS Access.An applicant who is interested in this position may apply by submitting a resume and cover letter via ****.
