Aon Is Looking For a Senior Consultant - Risk Advisory Services
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Risk Advisory Services practice group, in Chicago, IL, Washington, DC, New York, NY or San Francisco, CA. As a Senior Consultant, you will report directly to the Director.

Aon's Risk Advisory Services practice, as part of Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC), provides risk consulting and risk analytics to banks, Fintech, asset managers, broker/dealers and other financial institutions. Our services include:
Model development, review and enhancement
Model risk management and model validation
Scenario analysis
Data management and analytics
Regulatory compliance
Predictive analytics and machine learning
The Senior Consultant will lead the delivery of quantitative risk advisory projects. The Senior Consultant will be expected to prepare and present proposals in response to RFP's, lead quantitative modeling projects, deliver and report findings to clients, build relationships with Aon account executives and coach clients on adopting best practices. The Senior Consultant will also be expected to develop a specific area of knowledge and become a recognized subject matter expert in that area.

Your Impact as a Senior Consultant - Risk Advisory Services
Job Responsibilities:
Focus on leading client facing delivery activities providing Risk Consulting to Financial Institutions in the United States and Canada. Help build a risk advisory practice strategy for delivery to US and Canadian clients
Help build the US team of quants and train existing resources
Use significant external contacts to build a brand at Aon in credit and operational risk that is second to none
Work on special projects as they arise and are agreed with the leadership team
Help develop and execute a strategic plan for the Risk Advisory Practice focused on maximizing revenue growth and profitability
Support the development and execution of an effective revenue generation and marketing strategy
Drive product innovation for credit risk and operational risk services
Lead delivery and project management of individual Risk Advisory projects to Aon's client base
Develop and maintain relationships with direct clients outside the Aon network
Lead sector specific research and innovation to support the business going forward.
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise
Required Experience:
6 years Financial Institutions related quantitative risk experience, preferably in a large bank or consulting capacity to large banks.
Extensive experience with build or validating risk models for regulatory compliance, such as CCAR, Basel II/III or IFRS9
High level of knowledge with modeling in industry standard statistical platforms, such as SAS, R, Python and MATLAB
Experience with using machine learning or predictive analytics to deliver meaningful insights and assist client to make data-driven decisions
Ability to conduct self-directed research into new methodologies and techniques that can be incorporated into our service offerings
Proven experience leading and managing complex projects
Ability to comprehend and communicate with our client base regarding sector specific methodologies for risk identification, quantification and management
Ability to work seamlessly with various internal departments, including sales, account executives, local regional executives and AGRC leadership
Willingness to work in a practical hands on environment alongside the team in preparing proposals and presentations
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, economics or finance, plus relevant professional qualification such as FCAS, CFA or similar.

Preferred: PhD, or equivalent academic qualification and experience, in statistics, actuarial science, mathematics, economics or finance
