What you will do Support Climate\u2019s efforts in Decision Agriculture by developing novel methods and leveraging big data to solve tasks that will disentangle the factors of variation from product performance, weather, and field characteristics to enable the field level advisor and better farmer experience Create portfolio-based risk optimization algorithms that can be applied to operalizationalize Climate\u2019s digital offerings to growers to maximize product performance while minimizing risks Define and drive a technical vision and strategies to integrate portfolio and risk optimization algorithms and AI features into existing products and platforms. Basic Qualifications: Master or PhD degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering and related fields with a strong focus on risk modeling Demonstrated experience with applying risk optimization approaches to solving real world problems Experience with CPLEX, AMPL, CVS or a related optimization modeling language Strong programming skills with Python or R or Matlab Preferred Qualifications: Experience with machine learning and\/or use of predictive analytics to drive business decisions Experience with statistical modeling (linear models, analysis of variance) Practical experience with MILP or MIQCP Strong knowledge of modern portfolio theory and risk optimization algorithms What We Offer: Our teams are composed of industry experts, top scientists, and talented engineers.
