Job Purpose Responsible for the actuarial modeling of Individual Retirement new business products. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Performing projections, analyze, summarize, and communicate results to management Providing key metrics (NBV, IRR, STEC, EaR, etc.) with regard to proposed product designs through the use of actuarial models Build new model methodologies\/capabilities to evaluate new product features Clearly document all model and assumptions changes and processes Collaborating with various Finance teams regarding product development projects Developing experience studies for assumption setting Qualifications Bachelor's degree & FSA (or near FSA) designation with 4 years of actuarial experience Strong understanding of actuarial principles and analysis. Liability expertise and\/or asset-liability modeling experience, especially regarding Annuity products Exposure to leading actuarial projection systems, in particular GGY AXIS and MG-Hedge is preferred Solid understanding of financial reporting, key metrics (US GAAP and\/or IFRS) Solid interpersonal\/relationship management skills. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to research complex accounting issues independently and provide initial recommendations. Strong organization skills with ability to manage either a process or a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to prioritize and direct the activities of others as needed.
