The Roofing Lead is a working field position that works with a team of 3 to 6 members. The Roofing Lead will be cross trained as a PV Solar Installer as well.ResponsibilitiesnResponsible for assisting in the successful re-roof and repair of clients roofs including but not limited to:nSafely load and unload roofing materials from the vehicle to the roofnEnsure there is adequate materials and equipment to safely and efficiently complete projectsnLift roofing materials onto roof using pulleys or laddernSafely remove existing roofing from homenClear debris from roofnInstall new roofing-composition, tile and single ply roofing according to manufacturer specificationsnRepair and/or replace damaged sheathing, starter, fascia, and raftersnLocate and repair cracked tilesnFill in missing tilesnClear out gutters and drainsnLocate and fix leaksnRepair damage caused from storms and high windsnAssist the Roofing Foreman with completing projects within established guidelines and timeframesnProvide training and support to Roofing Apprentice / Roofing TechniciansnEnsure attention to detail with an emphasis on safety, quality, customer service, and productivitynEffectively learn all aspects of the construction workflow of the project to drive productivitynHelp maintain project documentation and photo requirementsnDemonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards related to roofing procedures and enforce safety practices and standardsnWork within a positive working dynamic on the installation crew and with branch co-workers; Analyze and resolve worker problems and recommend solutionsnPerform weekly vehicle inspection for proper tire pressures, oil level, working lights, etc.nEnsure accuracy of your own time sheetsnMaintain excellent lines of communicationnPerform service calls when necessarynInstallation of the mechanical systems of ground or roof mounted solar systemnAssemble the racking and solar arraynAssemble equipment along with properly sealing all roof penetrationsnTrenching, concrete work and equipment assemblynQualificationsnHigh School diploma or equivalentnMinimum of two (2) years roofing experience, including concrete tile, clay tile, and composition shinglenAbility to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business. Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check.
