The Modeling Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for the governance, development and testing of the valuation and projections end-to-end models within the Domestic lines of Prudential businesses. The Business Architecture team within the Modeling COE is responsible for developing and leading the Actuarial Architecture strategy, designing and supporting the automation of the end-to-end Actuarial model process. This position will be an integral role within the Business Architecture team supporting the Automation, Reporting & Analytics aspect of the end-to-end Actuarial model process for Workplace Solutions division (including domestic lines of businesses for Retirement, Group and Long-Term Care (LTC)/Enterprise Discontinued Business Solutions). The individual will collaborate across functional teams (Actuarial, Finance, Enterprise Services & Systems (ESS)) to support and execute on multiple large-scale projects to deliver best-in-class technology solutions to support automation, post-valuation processing (PVP), reporting and analytics across modeling systems. Primary Responsibilities: •Review business needs and requirements and provide design support on the construction of end-to-end model processes, including model components for automation, PVP, reporting and analytics. •Support the integration of the reporting process into the Liability Data Warehouse Infrastructure by developing understanding of process flows, business needs, products, actuarial methodologies and technical requirements. •Collaborate with Valuation COE and ESS on a high visibility actuarial infrastructure project to modernize the end-to-end valuation model for LTC, including implementation of new reporting requirements for FASB Targeted Improvements. •Support the development of an enterprise Data Governance framework to ensure consistency and integrity of Actuarial reporting and analytics across businesses and use cases. •Provide data and reporting analytics consulting services to the Valuation COE and other business users. •Be an active participant in Prudential's actuarial community •Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science is preferred. •Associate of the Society of Actuaries designation (ASA) or near ASA is preferred. •Knowledge of LTC product and actuarial valuation methodologies is preferred. •Experience on LTC valuation and financial reporting is preferred. •Knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence suite and data warehousing concepts is preferred. •Strong project and process management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, competing priorities, and drive projects to completion in a fast paced, dynamic environment. •Highly motivated, innovative, and creative problem solver and conceptual thinker. •Superior technical skills and ability to understand complex quantitative concepts and models, and effectively communicate findings to both actuarial and non-actuarial business partners. •Actuarial model development and architecture experience with proven track-record for driving process improvements. •Excellent written and oral communication skills.
