The Actuarial Analyst II will be responsible for supporting the modeling of the financial impact of formulary decisions for the Commercial line of business and reconciling projected impacts to actual results.
Responsibilities include:
Developing pharmacy cost of care models
Working closely with clinical pharmacists and the rebate team to develop actuarial assumptions used in modeling cost of care savings
Ad hoc research to investigate the impact of formulary decisions on prescription drug utilization over time
Collaborating with the VAC actuarial team in developing detailed assumptions for the Commercial line of business needed for VAC modeling
Model expansion to accommodate growing organizational needs
Working with the cost of care team to align ASO factors with formulary changes
Qualifications include:
Minimum 1 year of health related experience, with a strong preference toward a familiarity with pharmacy
Required to have passed at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams
BS/BA degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Economics
Must be able to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with high learning agility
Ability to self-manage time and review the work of peers for accuracy
Must display a strong commitment to teamwork and have the ability to work in a collaborative environment
