 Prudential Retirement is seeking an Associate Actuary to perform the review and setting of non-mortality assumptions, consistent with the Company's policies and standards. Prudential Retirement is an industry leader in Stable Value, Pension Risk Transfer, Structured Settlements, and Full Service businesses.  The Associate Actuary will be responsible for reviewing and recommending assumptions for Pricing, Statutory and GAAP valuation, and AAT.   The position is also involved in the ongoing development and production of insurance risk analytics.  The position provides significant exposure to senior management. Primary job responsibilities include:Conduct experience studies for non-mortality assumptions focusing on a full suite of Stable Value productsPartner with Pricing, Valuation, and Product partners in the development of contract holder and behavioral expectationsRecommend assumptions (excluding mortality) for use in Statutory and GAAP valuations, AAT, Capital Frameworks, and pricing for all Retirement productsEstablish assumptions for new product developmentGuide assumption recommendations through the governance and approval process including presentation to senior managementEnsure that experience studies, assumption documentation and approvals are conducted in compliance with Company policies and standardsParticipate in enterprise-wide assumption groups in order to share and develop best practicesAssist in the ongoing management of in-force business, through development and creation of risk analysis frameworks, and production of a risk analytics package that can be used by senior management to make informed risk management decisions Experience with retirement products (or similar)Excellent communication, presentation skills and documentation skillsStrong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and WordHighly motivated and creative problem solver with strong quantitative and analytical skillsDetail oriented with a focus on accuracy of results Work independently and also have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with business partnersAssumption setting and experience studies background a plus.
