POSITION SUMMARY

Join a high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna's government services pharmacy business. This roles primary focus is to lead model development and conduct various actuarial analyses for the Medicare Part D business (MAPD and PDP, Individual and EGWP).

Fundamental Components:

Lead/manage technical projects in support of strategic and operating plan goals. Anticipate and recognize matters that materially affect financial results and make sound, unbiased reports on these matters. Negotiate and influence sound business decisions by adhering to established risk management principles. Integrate understanding of internal and external data sources for quantifying risks. Continue to develop a high performing team, including responsibility for hiring and termination decisions. Have Part D product and business knowledge. Review assumptions and work product developed by staff. Effectively communicate to business partners and to senior management.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Mastery skills in SAS, SAS EG, Microsoft Excel

Bachelor's degree along w/5 years related work experience

FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) or ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) is desired, but not required

Experience in .NET preferred

Prior management experience is required

Prior Healthcare experience is required

Prior Part D experience is required

Strong communication skills are required

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

This role will work collaboratively with a number of senior business leaders across Medicare, Medicaid, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, Finance and other areas. The role will include management of a staff of less than 10 employees working in various US locations. This role may be based anywhere in the US, but preferred work from home location is in Eastern or Central time zone.
