Position leads the development, design, pricing and competitive monitoring for all base products including VA, FIA, payouts, and FA. Position oversees 2-3 FTEs.
Also oversees other staff as part of development projects.
Leads the actuarial function and team that is responsible for the design, pricing and competitive monitoring for fixed products and traditional VA base products. Manages and communicates results of financial and risk analysis to management.
Responsible for the profitability of all fixed products and fixed rate setting (FA, FIA, Payout)
Leads the analysis of new product concepts, including potential oversight of resources from other APD functions.
Responsible for VA pricing on a deterministic basis
Responsible for setting expense assumptions for all annuity products, VA and fixed
Product compensation design/expert
Responsible for monitoring regulatory environment, and oversee compliance with regulations (4228, SNFL, Non-qual stretch, etc.)
Oversee Competitive monitoring for fixed annuities and base VA
Oversee a staff of 2.5 FTE employees
- 7-10 years of actuarial experience.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
- Excellent leadership, writing and oral communication skills.
- Works effectively, independently and as a team member.
- Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience leading an actuarial function.
