Play an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization. Provide constructive on the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge. Possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge. Understand/communicate complex actuarial issues. Stay informed of and apply professional standards and firm policies (e.g., Actuarial Standards of Practice). Develop a strong personal brand and enhance the EY brand by writing articles, participating in industry groups and speaking at seminars To qualify for the role you must have Bacheloru2019s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related major Approximately 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of people and/or project management Fellow of the Society of Actuaries Proficiency with spreadsheets and actuarial software such as AXIS, Prophet, ALFA, MoSes, VBA and/or C A proven ability to manage time while working on multiple, often shifting, projects, and the confidence to work both collaboratively and independently under pressure Excellent analytical and project management skills, along with a creative approach to overcoming challenges Excellent communication skills, including the ability to understand and persuade on complex subjects both in writing and verbally Ideally, youu2019ll also have Previous consulting experience or experience implementing new processes/procedures in a corporate environment.
