One outstanding asset of this company is the Actuarial and Analytics Leadership Development Program (AALDP). The AALDP is a challenging five-year rotational program that provides technical development, business knowledge, and leadership experience. The program is supported by cutting edge industry technology and infrastructure within a large actuarial and analytic community. The goal of the program is to attract, develop, and retain future actuarial and analytic technical and business leaders for the company.
Travelers actuarial and analytics employees are key partners in determining the strategies, risks, and rewards of the company. To help prepare for these roles, the AALDP gives participants challenging rotational assignments in different core actuarial and analytics functions across the Travelers organization where participants provide exceptional business value. Some functions include:
-Pricing and rate making
In addition to the rotational assignments, participants will receive training which includes workshops in communication, strategic planning, and effective leadership, as well as technical and non-technical courses taught by our own actuaries and analytics professionals.
We are looking for people who want to grow into actuarial and analytics business and technical leaders.
Leadership Development Program
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:
-Entry level typically includes less than 2 years experience
-Basic understanding of financial reporting, both GAAP and Stat
-Basic understanding of insurance products and industry
-Strong PC skills, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
-College degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or equivalent
-One to two actuarial exams preferred
-Undergraduate or graduate degree with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or greater
-An actuarial/analytical-related internship or prior work-related experience
-Strong analytical and communication skills
-Demonstrated leadership abilities
-Participation and initiative in campus or community organizations and activities
-Legally eligible to work in the United States
Operates standard office equipment. Sitting (can stand at will). Use of Keyboards, Sporadic 10-Key.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent education required.
