Summary: Bilingual (English/Spanish)

The Actuarial Analyst / Sr. Actuarial Analyst will be

responsible for supporting product development, inforce management, and product support functions by working closely with other members of the department, as well as many other areas of the company. This position will support multiple markets for International Life. There is an expectation to continuously expand actuarial knowledge via work assignments and passing SOA examinations. Credit for at least one SOA exam is required for the Actuarial Analyst position. Credit for multiple SOA exams and actuarial work experience is required for the Sr. Actuarial Analyst position.

Requirements to include the following:

Bilingual (English & Spanish).

SOA examination credit for at least one exam for Actuarial Analyst.

SOA examination credit for at least 4 exams, up to and including ASA level, and at least 2 years of actuarial work experience in individual life required for Sr. Actuarial Analyst.

Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Economics.

Outstanding mathematical skills.

Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

Experience in the life insurance business, especially working with individual life insurance and products, including product and actuarial calculations are a plus.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Must be detail-oriented and have a results-oriented perspective.

Job Duties may include the following:

Support all areas of the department (product development, product management, and product support) through the department’s projects, deliverables, and analyses.

Assist in the testing and implementation of product changes and new products in the administrative, illustration, and other systems.

Support product development functions including competitive analysis, preparation of product specifications and documentation, product filings, rate review, testing, and product training.

Support product management needs including data analysis and report creation, review, and presenting results.

Communicate with operational, sales, and IT teams in various markets to offer product support and help with problem-solving.

Work with IT areas on problem-solving and testing.

Perform some project management functions.

May include occasional travel and overnight stay.

Delivering all work in line with expectations. In particular, meeting deadlines and ensuring work accuracy.

Communicating proactively with others in the department about the work process and results.

Creating and maintaining documentation and explaining all inputs and findings.

Expanding actuarial knowledge via work assignments and passing of SOA exams.

Working as part of a team to find solutions and complete tasks and projects.

Review work of others and provide feedback.

Other duties as assigned.
