Life Actuarial Jobs

A life actuarial professional is responsible for carrying out complex mathematical calculations and risk analyses to decide on various variables in the life insurance industry; determining probability and assessing potential risk for a life insurance project; providing estimates on product solutions which typically require making too many calculations; preparing reports and advising management with regard to potential risk matters in life insurance; recommending courses of action and follow ups on recommendations; advising management on the administration of insurance scenarios; working with stakeholders to enhance understanding of life actuarial concepts; interacting with clients to know about potential risks and ensuring life insurance risk information to clients; calculating premium rates and funding rates for life insurance; and preparing reports in this area and submitting the same to the management.
A life actuarial professional should have a BS or BA qualification in actuarial science or statistics. Prior experience as a life actuary is advantageous. Excellent mathematical ability and analytical skills may be required.
