Health Actuarial Jobs
A health actuarial professional is responsible for devising new health insurance or benefit plans or reworking on the existing ones. A health actuarial professional is typically involved in performing the following duties: critical statistical research on health actuarial data; performing detailed analysis on new trends in the health actuarial industry; helping the clients understand impact of typical health actuarial plan variables; providing estimates on health actuarial product solutions; recommending a course of action and following up on recommendations in health actuary business ventures; working on risk mitigation for health actuary products and services; working with stakeholders to enhance their understanding of health actuary business; and performing other tasks as required.
A health actuarial professional should have a bachelor of art or bachelor of science degree in actuary science or insurance. Excellent academic credentials are desirable. Prior experience as a health actuary may be advantageous.
