Consulting Actuary Jobs

A professional engaged in the practice of consulting actuary is responsible for providing appropriate advice or solutions to the clients in the field of actuary or insurance. Typical responsibilities of an actuary consulting professional include establishing lasting relationships with clients; preparation of valuations, cost estimates, and submission of reports; keeping abreast of latest trends in the actuarial field; planning the consulting activities in order to survive in a competitive market; understanding client requirements/ expectations and offering an appropriate solution; working on retention of existing customers; providing premium services to high net worth clients; and keeping updated on the various norms and regulations that surround the actuary business. An actuary consulting professional typically reports to an actuary director.
A consulting actuary professional should have a BS/BA or an associate\'s degree and a strong background in actuarial science. Excellent analytical ability and mathematical skills are essential. Prior experience in the field of actuary consulting may be advantageous.
