Consulting Jobs

A professional involved in actuarial consulting is responsible for providing diverse support services in the area of actuarial science; maintaining significant contact with clients over the telephone and through client meetings; attending training sessions; keeping abreast of latest trends in the actuarial field; planning in order to stay in a competitive market; understanding customer's requirements and offering a solution instantly; putting efforts in retention of existing customers and providing best possible services to high net worth clients; and continuously updating knowledge of various norms and regulations that surround the actuary business.
An actuarial consulting professional should have an associate's degree and a strong background in actuarial science or in a relevant field of finance. Excellent analytical skills and mathematical ability are essential. Prior experience in this field may be advantageous.
Some organizations may list similar positions under other titles like actuarial consultant, benefits consultant, senior actuarial consultant, and property and casualty actuary consultant. Strong negotiation skills are important for a typical actuarial consulting role.
