Consultant Jobs
An actuarial consultant is responsible for providing support to clients on actuarial issues. Duties include maintaining significant contact with clients over the telephone and in client meetings; coordinating and reviewing the preparation and results of valuations and cost estimates; keeping abreast of latest trends in the actuarial field; planning the various activities in order to stay in a competitive market; understanding customer requirements and offering solutions instantly; working on retention of existing customers and providing premium services to high net worth clients; and keeping updated on the various norms and regulations that surround the actuary business.
An actuarial consultant should have an associate's degree and a strong background in actuarial science or a relevant field of finance. Excellent analytical ability and mathematical ability are essential. Prior experience in this field may be advantageous.
Some organizations may list similar positions under other titles like actuarial consultant, benefits consultant, senior actuarial consultant, and property and casualty actuary consultant.
