Casualty Actuarial Jobs

A casualty actuarial professional is responsible for managing all actuarial pricing activities and research in the area of casualty insurance; developing rates; coordinating changes with other departments; implementing new ways and models to help the business flourish; working with underwriting managers and product managers to produce profitable and growing books of business; preparing and submitting quarterly indications and other profitability reports; selecting and training staff to ensure appropriate staffing resources; recommending new and improved solutions to casualty actuarial business problems; and improving the entire casualty actuarial process within the company on a continuous basis. A casualty actuarial professional typically reports to a casualty actuarial director.
A casualty actuarial professional should have a bachelor's degree in actuarial science. Strong academic credentials and basic casualty actuarial knowledge are essential. Prior experience in a casualty actuarial platform is helpful.
