Actuarial Support Jobs
Actuarial support job openings include diverse positions such as that of an actuarial analyst intern, actuarial assistant, actuarial intern, associate actuary, and administrative assistant. Typical duties for an actuarial support position includes providing administrative help to various people in the actuarial department; reviewing of actuarial rates projected; preparing rate package proposals and related exhibits as directed by the actuarial manager; preparing information for implementation post-approval of the rate package; assisting in maintenance of financial models; preparing financial reports from time to time for the use of the management; attending training sessions designed for actuarial assistants; performing other tasks as assigned by the actuarial manager; and keeping updated on new developments in the area. An actuarial support professional typically reports to an actuarial manager.
An actuarial support professional should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Excellent academic credentials are helpful. Prior experience in this field may be advantageous.
