EnerDel plans to add 850 jobs to its current 92-person operation. The company is well-known for its lithium-ion batteries for electric and hybrid vehicles. It plans on hiring additional engineers, production associates, and administrative staff later in 2008.
Some positions will be at the company’s headquarters on the northeast side of Indianapolis, and others in a new facility to be established in Noblesville. EnerDel also plans on building another facility at a yet to be identified location in central Indiana.
The state has encouraged the company with millions of dollars in tax credits and over $50,000 in training grants.
What is a Retirement Actuary you may ask? A retirement actuary is a person who analyzes statistics, business and finance trends and analyzes the data as it applies to retirement funds. The work done by Retirement Actuaries falls under the scope of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). Actuaries evaluate retirement plans that are governed by ERISA to determine if the plans are feasible and comply with fully with all Federal Regulations set forth in ERISA while remaining financially sound. While approximately 60% of actuaries work within the insurance industry, there are also Retirement Actuary job openings within the Federal government. The Federal jobs include openings within the Social Security Administration and Medicare.

As technology is used to increase efficiency and reliability, computer information managers have key roles to play in implementing this technology in their firms. Computer and information systems management jobs require one to facilitate computer-related activities in an organization by planning, coordinating, and directing research.
